Common questions

What is the difference between a hold point and a witness point?

A hold point stops work until the nominated party inspects and signs off – no release, no proceeding, and on QA-gated contracts, no payment for that line. A witness point requires notice so the client or engineer can attend, but work may proceed. Both need a record of who approved what, when.

What does digital hold-point sign-off replace?
