Today they have 25 staff that specialises in everything from fabrication and erection of structural steel, painting and finishing to designer staircases and more. CONQA sat down with Ash McLean, Operations Manager, to hear how the team at All Steel Services have found their quality assurance (QA) journey with CONQA.
Ash shares what lead the team on their digital quality assurance (QA) journey to begin with. "The burden of manual processes and paperwork was time consuming for the guys onsite. The immediate lack of visibility across project phases meant we often spent time going back to double check the details" - Ash.
Once we started working with the team at CONQA, we found the implementation and onboarding process quick and easy. The team at CONQA were able to work within our standards and processes which helped to drive engagement and uptake of the software across key stakeholders. The team got straight into using digital Checklists and Sign-off features, which encouraged collaboration and transparency when it came to submitting and approving site ITPs. "We could see the team starting to take responsibility for their respective areas which drove accountability and collaboration" says Ash.
The information that is captured in real-time on site, forms the basis of the Quality Assurance (QA) reports we can now create within CONQA. Not only is this more efficient use of our team's time but it also acts as a single source of truth for all our stakeholders. These reports contain all the information they need related to the project, with the ability to drill down into specific details and photos that have been captured and recorded onsite.
"The impact we noticed pretty quickly was creating efficiencies throughout the project stages and transparency between stakeholders. Having all reliable documentation in a one place meant that our Contractors and Subcontractors could quickly verify installation methods. This gave them reassurance that any mistakes were being pick up quickly and rectified before moving onto the next stage of the project". - Ash
