Elevating Quality Assurance: Safari Group’s Success with CONQA

For over 25 years, Safari Group, a commercial property developer in Auckland have successfully delivered high quality products for clients. Site Foreman, Kyle Neil, recently shared how the team utilised CONQA to manage their quality assurance, on their ten-story mixed-use complex which consists of a three-story La Quinta Parnell hotel and seven-stories of residential apartments, called Augustus Park Parnell.

The project features a variety of accommodations from standard to serviced hotel apartments, and studio two-bedroom residential apartments. The project kept the team engaged and adaptable. "We had everything from standard rooms to serviced apartments, which kept us on our toes," Kyle noted.

CONQA played a crucial role in simplifying their quality assurance processes. Kyle emphasises how invaluable it has been, "The system is useful for documenting safety features and installations." With easy access to historical photos and data, compliance with safety standards is now more manageable. "We need to show we did everything by the book," he added.

The mobile app has also garnered positive feedback from the team at Safari Group. "The updated app runs smoothly now. Even when uploading multiple photos, it handles it without a hitch," Kyle explained. 

Initial training sessions were pivotal in building the team’s confidence in using CONQA. "It transformed our view of quality assurance as an integral part of project management," Kyle remarked.

Additionally, Kyle highlighted CONQA’s role in documenting inspections and quality checks: "It’s about ensuring we can address issues later." This reliable documentation offered peace of mind as the project neared completion.

Overall, Safari Group's success with CONQA during the La Quinta Parnell project / Augustus Park Project underscores  the value of effective quality assurance software.
