Recently, our Melbourne CONQA team visited the new Footscray Hospital project thanks to our friends at Multiplex.
This project is the single biggest infrastructure investment in Victoria, with $1.5 billion being invested by the Victorian Government to deliver a state-of-the-art hospital to support demand from Melbourne’s ever-growing western suburbs. Expected to open in 2025, the project will reduce wait times and pressure on the current hospitals whilst delivering an increase of nearly 200 beds, treat 15,000 additional patients and support 20,000 additional Melbournians to be seen by an emergency department each year.
With 10 cranes on site, this project is a constant hub of activity, operating as its own city while construction progresses. Multiplex values our quality tracking software for their subcontractors including; Polyseal, Delta Group, CDC Plumbing, and Appselec Pty Ltd to ensure the project progresses as planned.
Our team were hosted by Paul Cochrane – a Project Quality Manager at Multiplex who provided an overview of the project and its different stages, and then took the team on a tour of the site. We are excited to see CONQA support the progress of this project over the coming months and years and look forward to visiting the site again.
